As I begin this new adventure, I wonder who will find this interesting to read. I hope you do, of course, as you are who I write for, but yet I wonder. The Internet, or inter webs as many say, is vaster then the worlds oceans and desserts, but information, word and pictures, crosses those spaces in moments of time. As large and wonderful as the world is, does this connection make us less connected?
This Average American Home promises to bring connections both far and near. I hope to provide a good laugh and perhaps, at times, a tear or two. As everything changes, it is the adventure of facing each day anew and connecting with each other as much as possible in different ways.
One of my many hopes for this particular adventure is to rate and review those places that we travel to as a family. Snippets and stories are a sure thing as well as if where we travel will become a new family hot spot! How well do those places handle young kids? Big families? Little spills and heavy-duty messes? Be it a restaurant, amusement park, playground, street fair or anything in between and beyond, my hope is to bring to you my most honest opinions and true stories. As we span the vastness of the world, I hope to connect with those just outside my door and through the screen inspire you to do the same.
I learned today that there are over 2,796 languages in which to say hello to the more than 6.5 billion people on the Earth. So, instead of learning that many new words, I simply wave my hand in greeting as I start this new adventure. Let's go!
