I'm a PiBoIdMo Winner and My #Nerdlution

Thanks to the PiBoIdMo challenge I have 34 brand new ideas to play with. I've already written two of them into drafts and there are a few more gems in the pile I think!

Next to the plethora (I love that word don't you?) of ideas, I stuck with an idea keeping system I really like. I have kept my little file folder with my writing journal and it is so easy to flip through the stack of cards to find one that speaks to me. One or two will jump out and which ever is louder gets a crack at a draft. A sloppy, get-it-on-the-page, try-not-to-edit-while-writing, see-where-it-goes first draft.

A big THANK YOU to Tara Lazar for such a wonderful challenge and the formation of a stellar community. Proud to be one of many PiBoIdMo winners this year. Congrats to everyone who reached 30 and beyond!

To keep the momentum going I'm making a #Nerdlution. Something I want to make into a habit. And 50 days to do it. December 2nd - January 20 is Round 1.

Deciding what #Nerdlution to make is proving to be very difficult. I've seen lots of various exercise and writing nerdlutions, but I don't think I can commit to doing, say, yoga or writing a blog post everyday. But, I guess that is part of the idea. Doing something that you don't already do to better some part of yourself. It is going to be hard. HARD. That's the point. That's why we don't do these things already. It's hard to make the time to do them.

So what is something that I want to do more of, something I want to do more intentionally, something that is going to better part of myself. So many choices.

Ok here is it my #Nerdlution:

To write or revise something, anything for at least 15 minutes every day. In the morning. Before the kiddos get up. EVERY DAY! At least 5 writings will be blog posts, 10 will be handwritten notes, 2 will be new PB stories, 2 will be story revisions, and then many, many journal entries.

Phew! At least I'm starting on the right path with one blog post down!

What's your next challenge fellow PiBoIdMo-ers? Do you have a #nerdlution?
